Absolutely tasteless pies and liquor. Texture and presentation were as per expectations so looked promising. Unfortunately it tasted of NOTHING. Liquor was basically coloured water. Same as pies. Even after adding (lot of) salt, it still didn’t do the trick. I have very bland taste in general so for me to find something bland it is very difficult. Overpriced jellied eels at 4£90 for 4 tiny pieces of eels and loads of jellies. Was looking forward to find a nice little local place but will not return.
This is the best restaurant ever! The food is delicious with a large selection, and the pie mash is prepared in a real old-fashioned style. Every dish that my family and friends have tried has been amazing. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is always busy, but well organized and clean. My family and friends have been regular customers since it opened. I highly recommend this place to anyone.
I for my sins live near Blackpool, sadly my Mum is in a Care Home in Chigwell and loves Jellied Eels . When I visit it is by train so getting to Danny's then to the Care Home is out of the question, so I rang Danny's to see if they would deliver, yes they would and did right on time. Mum really enjoyed them. Great job Danny's
We had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant. My husband enjoyed the traditional pie, mash, and liquor while I had the liver and bacon. The portions were generous and both plates were finished.
