The staff had difficulty speaking English and misunderstood everything I wanted. My waitress seemed unsure about the menu, often saying they didn’t have items and I had to wait 20 minutes for my rice. There were also inconsistencies about what they offered—for example, I saw ice cream on the menu, but when asked, they only served it to selected customers. The food was good, but the service was very poor. I gave it another try, and it was much better this time. The only downside was that the shrimp fried rice didn’t taste as good as before; it seemed to be missing something, and several other customers agreed it tasted different. The ice cream, however, was delicious.
Ordered for the first time today, I?m a local from the area. The general Tso chicken was absolutely the best I?ve ever had in NYC. The quality of the meat, the sauce was spicy as requested and the portion size was excellent. The not so good at all wasthe vegetable fried rice, spring rolls and vegetable lo mein. They were dry, bland in taste and just so so. Overall, I wasexpecting a bit more than a typical Chinese/Asian restaurant, the ambiance of the restaurant is really nice and the reviews aregenerally great. I just found the dishes other than the chicken to be Sub par.

Today marked my first visit as a local, and the General Tso Chicken was by far the best I've had in NYC. The meat was high quality, the sauce perfectly seasoned, and the portion generous. However, the vegetable fried rice, spring rolls, and vegetable lo mein didn’t live up to the same standard—they were dry and lacking flavor. I had higher expectations for this restaurant beyond the usual Chinese/Asian fare. The atmosphere is pleasant, and reviews are mostly positive, but aside from the chicken, the other dishes fell short for me.
We celebrated several family birthdays at Danny's Szechuan Garden and had a fantastic time. The service was outstanding, and the portions were generous and flavorful. While two people in our group weren't entirely happy with their dishes, I had the same meals and found them excellent. I particularly enjoyed the hibachi chicken and shrimp with noodles. I was having such a great time with my family that I didn’t finish all my food, but the leftovers still smelled just as delicious when I took them home!
We went to celebrate the birthdays of some family members. We had a great time and great service. There was plenty of food and it tasted great. Only two people weren't happy with their food. I ordered the same thing they had and I had no complaints. Ihad the hibachi chicken and shrimp with the noodles. I had so much fun interacting with my family I really didn't get to eatall my food. This was what I took home and warned up. Smells just as good as when they were cooking it.

Their prices went up a bit but the food is still good. Tried the pu pu platter and Singapore Chow Mei Fun. They were both delicious.
