More people need to know about this little gem, I tell everyone I know to pay a visit. My 10 year old is getting to the age where he doesn’t like hanging out with is mum that much anymore but the one thing we do every week is go to Dark side of the spoon together and get the dessert of the week, the lady who makes them is an absolute genius and is always really friendly even though we usually get there right before closing it’s no trouble at all.
I ordered two vanilla cupcakes for my daughters, but the staff informed us they only had one left. They were very kind and brought us a slice of rainbow cake instead, which was large enough to split into two servings on separate plates for the girls. The cake was delicious, and the customer service was excellent. Overall, it was a great experience.
Today I went for my usual trip to dark side of the spoon. I wasn’t in the best mood so it was amazing to sit down and be served by beautiful and smiley Laura with my usual chocolate fudge cake (warm, no cream or ice cream) and glass of Pepsi. I really love to go to help Laura and Victoria to get business

Spotted the shop by accident from downstairs and thought wed give it a try. Very pleased that we did. The staff were lovely and chatted to our 3 year old happily. The ice cream was yummy with lots of variety. Will visit again.
The cake and ice cream at this restaurant are fantastic! There is a wide variety of flavors to choose from, as well as a plethora of additional toppings available. The staff is very friendly and attentive.
Friendly attentive staff and a different pie/cake each week. Trying them all is addictive. They also have waffles and icecream (I'd recommend the vanellope von schweetz) just make sure you arrive hungry!
