das Schloss - Schlossbrasserie KG

After a long day exploring Linz we had dinner at Herberstein Brasserie. Our request for a nice table worked out nicely and we were welcomed by two members of the friendly staff. The menu offered an interesting variety of dishes and a great selection of...local wines, reasonably priced. We enjoyed a good dinner while watching the sun go down over the city. A perfect way to finish your day.

The view on the town is simply breathtaking, the food was delicious for austrian standards (sorry, very though italian to please here), with some creativity and attention to fresh local produce (high five for that service was excellent. Price is high but worth it for...a little splurge.

Had a business dinner there yesterday evening therefore I can not say anything about the price, since we were invited. The food was excellent though, really nice. The view at sunset and into the Linz nightline is also lovely.

In this restaurant the view is probaply Best in town. We just had beer in the balcony, so this was bretty much berfect for that.

We got fine food overlooking Linz, warmed by the sun through the huge glass wall while outside was a cold autumn wind.
