We visited friends who are happy enough to live in Tegernsee, and at the great view of the lake and the mountains from their top balcony, you want to see a look? they asked, then we go to a beer garden with a really wonderful...view. They brought us to The Tegernsee (if we refer to the lake, it should be The Tegernsee and they speculate that the name of the hotel was shortened by the “The Tegernsee Hotel”. As you can see from the pictures, the view is absolutely spectacular! Hotel 's Biergarten is open from 2 am Monday to Thursday and from noon to Friday. The weather was perfect on Sunday afternoon when we were there, and we could see sailboats on the lake. We enjoyed the beer and Bavarian snacks and could not get enough of the fantastic surroundings. We were told that some weekend afternoons local musicians play Tyrolean and Bavarian songs, but that didn't happen when we were there. This was the highlight (Pun for our trip to the city of Tegernsee. Worth the visit!
We ate outside an evening at Senger Restaurant (early September 2020) to celebrate two 40th birthdays. We chose the 3-course menu that was amazing. Alice's service was great, she was really friendly and helpful. Our food was fantastic. We had two... vegetarians with us and changing part of the 3 course menu was no trouble at all. We had a fantastic view of the lake, and when it began to get a little cool, we were offered blankets. The wines we have chosen were great, and the prices are with the quality of the food and wine we have chosen. We hope to be back in Tegernsee and will definitely visit Lake Tegern. They also have a more relaxed dining area and a beer garden, so they will also visit.
Sitting on the terrace and overlooking the Tegernsee is something you should not miss. Very friendly staff and great service. We went with their dinner menu and enjoyed all the courses. Delicious and fresh food, beautiful decoration for the eyes and portions are absolutely right. We enjoyed a perfect evening.
We stayed at the hotel one night and ate in their restaurant. The food was outstanding. I had the local fish, which was delicious. The waiter was very attentive and could speak English. This was helpful, since I only know a little German. He made...a nice suggestion on the wine.
