The snapper was ok but lacking flavor and the potato salad was ok. The red beans and rice didnt have a morsel of seasoning, not a pinch of salt. The Peach Cobbler was ice cold and was a lump of canned peaches with a small square of crust laid on top. I had their peach cobbler once before and it was great, not sure why they completly changed it. The Banana Pudding was ok though.
This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! I ordered the chicken and half a bird waffle, and it was incredibly fresh and flavorful! You can find great soul food around here, but this place is a gem. The barbecue brisket links were exceptional. You should definitely give this place a try—you won't be disappointed!
Kayla's Jambalaya was quite disappointing; it was overly hot and watery, which made it unappetizing. While it was passable, there was definitely room for improvement. The oxtails were delicious, though I found the flavor of the candied yams to be off, and the mac and cheese didn't impress me either.
The chicken and waffles are always fantastic, the deep-fried pork chop is delicious, and the mac and cheese is equally amazing. Reserva una mesa ahora
