"This is a small hotel but for the price it was nice place. The front desk was nice and helpful. The restroom is small and no A/C but they do provide a fan. The internet is not the greatest."

Booking .com had booked our Sept dates for the following year where we wished to stay in Paris and they were full when we arrived with no booking for us …really ? We were late in the evening , tired wanting to rest . Another kind or was he colluding?! hotel receptionist rang a few others for us eventually finding this one . The price was RIDICULOUS for what it was 6th floor , dirty bed covers , 4 beds squashed in we were 2 wobbly electric plugs , sodden shower curtain tiles falling off .. Avoid it or at least haggle the absurd price ! We are now in one around the corner 2 star, very clean and has great facilities etc .. for the same price … Lessons : double check dates on Booking dot com especially the year !! Get to destination earlier so you have time to find decent place to stay at reasonable price ! Don’t stay here !
The big bonus of this hotel is the location. Quiet neighborhood, the hotel is located between two metro stations: Republique and Strasbourg Saint-Denis, a 5-8 minute walk away. Lots of terraces, pubs, cafes, patisseries and shops within 150 m around the hotel. If outside noises bother you at night, close the window and the thermal insulation completely isolates the sound. The hotel has an elevator. The receptionists are super OK, with a 24/24 hours schedule, and the rooms are cleaned daily. The rooms are relatively small in size, but the accommodation rate is determined by the location of the hotel. All in all, I recommend this hotel, pleasant stay, you feel safe and welcome.
I booked here via Expedia on a free cancelation, and cancelled within the deadlines. However the hotel still took the money out of my account. Expedia agreed they shouldn't have. 2 months later and I am still waiting. Written to them and got curt responses. I know english isn't the first language, but bad customer service. They have stopped responding to Expedia to. Please avoid. Looking at the reviews below, this is obvious!
Absolutely avoid!! The location is great but everything else is terrible, awful value of money compared to other similar hotels in Paris. The lack of cleanliness was really shocking, hairs on the bathroom, stains on the sheets and furniture, everything is very very dated, nothing felt clean in this room. There was not even a duvet, just a crusty blanket that can’t possibly be properly cleaned between each guest.
