Overall average experience at the restaurant which is disappointing considering the price level. Food was a 4/5 but service was average at 3 and atmosphere/ambiance was poor at 1. Food presentation was a 5. Foie gras and cheese plate were average which is surprising for the region. Risotto with a supplement was not worth the extra money. Scallops, goose breast and chocolate dessert were great. Service was average mostly because the waiter and waitress would drop and run. A beautiful Chateau in a stunning location in the Dordogne valley. We stayed for two nights, on both mornings we woke to the low lying mist in the valley. The bonus was to watch hot air balloons sail past our bedroom window on the morning we left. We dined in the restaurant one evening which was a delight, the food and wine were fabulous. All of the staff are friendly and very welcoming. We loved it

always a pleasure to come to lunch at home. The place is magical. Simple service. The plate is always first of all a pleasure of the eyes and then of the palace. the chef sublimates the simplest products exceptionally. we are faithful and highly recommend to our friends and our customers.
