Deccan spice one of the best Indian restaurants in Edison ,The quality and the taste of the food was amazing, the staff is welcoming and friendly They all are the best staff, you feel the Indian touch in every element of this place. Speciallysupervisor I don’t have words for him he was the best,Food has taste of South India more hydrabadi style , They using moderntechnology , Sign in to iPad you get the text message when your table is ready,Food is delivered through robot. One of the bestinterior , They have different kind of sitting arrangement that was good to, restaurant was very clean as well.
The only downside was that one of the dessert cakes I ordered was a bit frozen, but the staff was very accommodating and happily took it back to warm it up, which I appreciated. I also noticed that the waitstaff serves food directly on the plate, and I’m not a fan of that style, so I requested they leave it on the table instead.
This was my second visit, and I was not disappointed. Deccan Flavor is definitely a place we will return to for special occasions, even though it is slightly on the expensive side.
The food at Deccan Spice (Jersey City and Edison locations) is predictably excellent! Authentic, spicy and delicious. The Edison location has a modern, inviting ambience- a great place to go for a get together or celebration. You can order some Indian beersto go with your food. Don't leave the place without trying the Apollo fish and goat biryani. The wait staff has it easyhere...robots carry food and used dishes back and forth. I guess my tips are going to the robot as well...haha!
I was initially impressed with the service when they first opened. The waitstaff was excellent. Unfortunately, it's become just average now. I also had to wait a long time for the food. I'm very disappointed to see how much the quality has declined overall.

It seems whatever we select during reservation in OpenTable app is not passed on to the restaurant I had selected Anniversary as the occasion but looks like either it wasn't passed on to restaurant or restaurant doesn't use that information.
Good experience and wonderful ambience. Samuel was soo nice at explaining things never rushed to take order.Biryani has wonderfull flavor to it.(natukodi biryani).
Great service and food was very flavorful our server dipak was amazing and explained the entire menu to us. Great vibe at this spot.

It was a great time. Very delicious soup and angare paneer. Methi chaman was also delicious.
We were waited on hand and foot and the food was excellent!
