Extremely disappointed . . . I ordered Fish and Chips for myself and two portions of chips for family members. The order came out with no fish so a fresh piece of fish was cooked for me. It was so over 'cooked ' and batter dark in colour the fish inside had shrivelled up to almost nothing. My grandaughters sausage was bigger in size. I love fish and chips, we travelled down 4hrs to visit family and look forward to my fish and chips by the seaside but I 'd struggle to even call this meal fish and chips! Its a pity I can 't add a photo . . . Photo now added . . . Am I wrong in thinking the manager may have replied with some form of explanation!
This restaurant review is extremely disappointing. I ordered a medium cod, cod bites, chips, peas, and curry sauce on Saturday night. It cost £15, which is not cheap, but on top of that, everything was cold. The chips were soggy, the cod portion was small, and the cod bites had very little actual fish in them, just a lot of greasy batter. I hesitated to leave such a negative review as I know it can impact a business, but it is only fair that people are informed and that the restaurant realizes they need to improve. We had high expectations based on our positive experiences at the Deep Blue restaurant on the pier.
Terrible chips. When you go to a chippy you want good chips. These were awful and I honestly would have been better off buying some frozen chips from the supermarket. Why can’t these places who specialise in chips make them crispy? Ours were the opposite of crispy and the lad who served them put so much salt on them they were barely edible. Fish was okay but batter was over cooked. Would recommend avoiding this place. Overpriced for the standard of food. Better off at McDonald’s
Absolutely disgusted and disappointed that everything was over cooked (or refried/re heated) the chips were all hard as rock. We had a deliveroo order and we were totally shocked at the quality of the food. When I rang up the guy said there was nothing he could do , it was the potatoes!!!! That's laughable. I also was told to go to deliveroo for a refund. No customer service what so ever.... never again I'm afraid!

SLOW. 15 min wait and not busy. BUT, If the people standing around behind the fryer helped the girl up front it would of been a 5 star and 5 mins. The food was great. Fish was chips were fantastic and about as good as they get. Frier guy, don't just laugh at the girl serving and making the orders, be chivalrous and give her a hand. The customers will be much happier as well as the staff.
The fish and chips here are excellent, just like you would expect from a traditional takeout spot. They offer a wide variety of other menu options as well. The food is tasty, although the onion rings were a bit too heavy on the batter. Overall, it's a great spot to enjoy classic dishes.
I ordered a small cod, 2 battered sausages, and 2 large chips. However, I received 1 small cod, 1 medium chips, 2 battered sausages, and small cod for £20. This is the second time I have been given small chips instead of large after ordering. I don't mind, I will give it another try.
really good fish and chips. standard from a classic takeaway. more options. Eat is good when slightly exaggerated on the tweebel rings. all in all a good place to get classic
