Original Review: There’s nothing quite like enjoying a slice of cake at Delice et Chocolat on a rainy day, right? Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience. My daughter had a headache this morning and was craving cake and pastries, so we drove 45 minutes to get there and arrived at 12:40. The place wasn't too busy, and there was no waiting line. There was one table occupied by four people, while the other tables were either empty or barely filled. Only my daughter and I were at the register. There were three employees present, yet no one even acknowledged us despite clearly seeing us waiting. They seemed far too busy to assist us. Disappointing. Have been here several times in the past and loved their plain and chocolate croissants--light, flaky, delicious. Tried an almond croissant this time and had to throw it away--sickeningly sweet and cakey. Service was always a little on the slow side, but seems even more so now. On the plus side, their decaf coffee is possibly the best decaf I ever tasted. Update to my original 3-star review: I talked to the owner after learning of the fire to profusely apologize. I should have known there was good reason things were not up to Delice's usual high standards. Instead of a refund I opted for another coffee and croissant, and both were excellent. We got our wedding cake from Delice et Chocolat. At our tasting we were able to try 6 different flavors and were also told we could ask for things off menu. We ended up ordering a hazelnut cake and a strawberry shortcake for our wedding and they did not disappoint. The hazelnut cake was decorated absolutely beautifully and tasted like a Ferrero Rocher. The strawberry shortcake was also presented nicely and tasted delicious. The cake was ready on time and prepared for transport to our venue. Several of our guests pulled us aside to tell us how good the cake was and we’d get cake from here again!

I worked here over the summer of 2021 and also had the honor of having my cake done here for my wedding! I love and miss the staff, and the owner is an extremely kind and dangerously generous family friend. The food is incredible (as in, I have never been a fan of macarons or a lot of cakes, but if they're from Delice then I like them every time). If I could eat his pastries everyday for breakfast I would. I don't even have to tell you how amazing my wedding cake was--the picture will speak for itself! Reserva una mesa ahora

Nice cafe with cute ambiance. Every time I’ve been in there they’re sold out of macarons and they don’t have any cakes or desserts, just croissants. I asked the woman working who said you have to order ahead for any cakes, even just a slice. The lattes are good! Haven’t tried the food menu yet other than a chocolate croissant which was very tasty. I’m deducting a star just because the the thing I wanted the most cake) wasn’t there :

Stopped in to get my wife some macaroons and got a few things for the hour ride home. The cherry cheese was delicious the macaroons on the other hand are being held hostage by the wife she says they r the best she ever had. She did half the lemon 1 witch was awesome. Can't wait to return.

The macaroons were enjoyable, and the coffee was decent. However, the woman at the register had a bit of an aloof demeanor; she seemed a bit distracted and interrupted me while I was placing my order to say goodbye to another customer. Overall, it wasn't the best first impression.

What a lovely Cafe. An establishment that does good coffee and has those incredible sweet treats cannot be given a miss. The ambience of the place gives a very chique market feel and the aroma of the baked goods with coffee as you enter is as welcoming as it can get. Reserva una mesa ahora

This charming little place is adorned with photos of Paris on the walls, creating a delightful ambience. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. My cappuccino was not only beautifully presented, but the croissant was also wonderfully light and flaky.

Wonderful French cafe serving incredibly authentic pastries and coffee. The food menu selections are decent but not as good as the pastries. Definitely go for anything with chocolate in it being the croissants or desserts.
