It's close to Christmas and the restaurant was full. Yet we received personal attention from our server. The kitchen was a little slow due to all the other patrons, but the wait was not excessive. Our food came and was excellent, as usual. I had the minestrone and my buddy had the pasta e' fagoli. For a main course, I had one of the house specialities grilled shrimp over mushroom risotto. This dish is one of the best that Della Cucina offers. Sometimes it's truffle oil instead of mushroom equally good. Great servers Annie, Rebecca, Cory and Hannah, a recent addition to Della Cucina, make for a very pleasant experience. Upon request, they will make recommendation about what to choose from the menu. Try the risotto with shrimp or scallops. Have a small pizza as an appetizer perfect for a party of 4. I recently ordered the Chicken Milano with a topping of chopped cucumbers and grape tomatoes (as an alternative to the greens that are usually used). Interesting alternative choice the chicken breast was done to perfection I think I might stay with the greens next time. Decaf cappuccinos with Lavazza brand coffee round out the meal. Try their gelato (three scoops) for a creamy treat.
Five of us went to this restaurant for lunch just before Christmas. Surprisingly, it wasn't crowded which made for a relaxing experience. The appetizers, including Calamari, arancini, and Mussels, were all delicious. Most of the dinners were also excellent, with the exception of the Veal Milanese which seemed to be pounded too thin, resulting in the only flavor being the bread crumbs. However, the Scampi was flavorful and the lasagna tasted fresh.
Held my daughters bridal shower here and the day was perfect. Annie and Jodi did a fantastic job. The room looked beautiful, the food was fabulous, special attention to dietary restrictions for guests and accommodated our every request. We've also dined here several times. The restaurant was packed yet we were still able to talk and actually hear each other. We were just a little cramped but it was still overall a very nice dinner experience. BYO is also a big plus for this place. If you’re going on a Friday or Saturday evening, make sure to reserve!
Second visit first time for a work function and now with family for per holiday dinner. Everyone from kids to senior enjoyed the food. They have a NJ winery bottles for sale but you should BYOB if you enjoy an adult beverage with your meal.
Closed. No longer in business. Now Fig and Tomato. Closed Fig and Tomato is basically the same thing with fancy names for the food and much higher prices.
This is one of our favorite restaurants...the food is amazing...the brussels sprouts are one of the best dishes we've ever had!
