I had heard rave reviews about this restaurant and as we didnt intend to cook we decided to order a takeaway from here. I started to try and order at 4 and at 6.30 had to ring my bank for intervention to get the order through, such a faff. Placed my order for about an hour later. Wasnt the cheapest of takeaways but it was a special Saturday night. The order came 15 mins late,considering it asked in 5 minute increments wasnt really good. Now to the meal, we had a Chutney tray and spicy poppadums, nothing wrong with that, in fact best part. We always share so got our usual onion bhajis and king prawn puri, neither was the best. We then had lamb tikka makhani, prawn anarkali in a way I've never...
So when we had desii we called it and picked it up as we were eating our chips because we eat the chips first I mean they were fine VERY VERY soggy and the onion bhajis were very very crumbly and just tasteless but the staff were very nice and gave us our food very quickly but the food man… let down so don’t recommend if you don’t like soggy food and in need for a good and filling grub.I am a local to Widnes but from St Helens so thought was gonna be nice but it wasn’t and costed about 42 quid so 42 quid in the drain!
We ordered online restaurant prices rather than takeaway. Arrived 45 minutes late. Onion bhajis were soggy and tasteless. Vegetable Biryani was effectively a pilau rice with a few peas thrown in waste of money. Samosa pastry was thick and stodgy with tasteless filling. Lamb pepper fry was quite good. We won't be trying there again any time soon.
The food is truly spectacular, ordered all the small plates with an extra side of slaw and gunpowder potatoes. The Sev Puri and the Paneer and Pineapple Tikka were particular favourites. A tastefully decorated restaurant staffed by friendly and personable staff. All in all it was spectacular and I can’t recommend highly enough!

Really enjoyed our meals this evening thanks! We had Chicken Jalfrazi with Pilau Rice and Vegetable Balti with Garlic Rice and a portion of chips. Always a perfect curry from Desii, don't go anywhere else since we found this lovely restaurant and takeaway. A fabulous holiday treat. Thanks again!
Food excellent but the customer service is second to non .taz in particular and his cocktails! We were recommended meals and they were gorgeous, haven't been in a few years before this visit bit will definitely be returning
Been coming to Desii since it opened its door in Widnes, I couldn’t go to another Indian restaurant as would feel I was missing out on their food. Never had a bad meal in here always 10/10. Staff are very friendly
I went with friends. Lovely restaurant. Great staff. Spotlessly clean. Shame it was so quiet on a Friday night. Definitely worth a visit.

Not been here for a while, and it didnt disappoint. Food was beautiful, staff lovely. Think it's going to be our regular date night venue
We ordered on a Saturday evening and it arrived within an hour. The food was absolutely delicious! Would definitely recommend.
