Extremely disappointing! We had a delivery from here on the 28th of August. We are regular customers but this time it was unbelievably bad. We wrote to them to complain but got no response. That 's what they think of their regular customers. My email to them is below.. Hello we’ve just had a delivery from you and I have to say we are so disappointed. We eat in your restaurant often and have regular deliveries at least every two weeks. Attached is a photo of a pot of excess ghee which I poured off the king prawn patia and chicken tikka dansak. We ordered takeout from Desire and it was amazing! The food, including Chicken Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala with rice, bhajis, and naans, was excellent. They even gave us some poppadums which were great. The best part was when we ordered on a Sunday night and realized we were out of bin bags but the shops were closed. I left a note in the delivery instructions asking if they had any to spare, and they actually included one for us! It showed their great customer service and made our evening. We will definitely be returning to eat in or get takeout from Desire again, and we highly recommend them!
Vegetarian pasanda was delicious and partner had a chicken dish which he really enjoyed. Onion bhajis were incredible, lovely crisp texture and flavours were very nice. We also had vegetable bhaji by accident, as I was confused and meant onion bhaji the vegetable ones had a lovely flavour through them. Cheese and garlic naan was great. Would highly recommend this restaurant. The staff are friendly and attentive (Max was one of them, but they were all very nice).
shocking. look like dog food. 2 dinners came up cold. mine looked like it been under the warmer for a bit. 2nd visit to this place didn't really like it the first time but wont be going back. my husband though he was going to be I'll in the night (not through alcohol may I add) and I had bad upset tummy the next morning. our company said how it was not as good as it used to be. would I go again. not on your life. It was ok but could be much better. Poppadoms were really fresh, onion Bhaji's far too big and dense they would be far more tasty if they were smaller and lighter, Lamb Nehari was really sweet, keema nan looked disgusting I couldn't bring myself to even try that, frozen desserts need about 30 mins before they are soft enough to eat. Staff and service was good but as the food wasn't up to much i won't be back.
I was very fortunate not to have made a reservation, but still managed to get a table at this restaurant. The food was hot and very flavorful, and the staff were polite and provided great service. The mango chicken curry was sweet and delicious, and the Sizzling Juliette dish was served on fire and my husband absolutely loved it.
I was extremely impressed by this restaurant. The food was fantastic and the spice levels were just right. The service was good and the restaurant is located in a beautiful building. However, the worn out, dirty carpet on the stairs really detracts from the overall atmosphere.
