Lovely town. This place didn't work for us at all. Sorry. Despite the great reviews. We were the only guests with the host who tried to be service and chef. Expensive wine. Very average food. After a week of reflection I actually downgraded my review from two to one stars. Yes it was that bad. Rolled chicken breast around some black olive pesto as a main? Our waitress was apparently the owner and the chef in union. In a bad way. 8 euros per small glad of wine for a bottle that sells at 7 in the shop.
I write this message in English for the international visitors in Grenoble. Because for me this restaurant is one the best place downtown where you can experience what the French cuisine can provide today. The chef guides you towards a complete journey which made us just happy. Creative, fine and elaborated, subtile, respectful and sustainable are some of the adjectives that pop up into my mind. prices are decent for this quality. Prepare to be patient though, and just enjoy...
Saint-Lô culinary workshop realized this day really interesting and enriching experience to discover the restaurant cuisine otherwise. production of simple dish and preparation but still being very sought after. The chief is listening, smiling and letting us do everything. this experience reconciled me with the cauliflower and made me discover new associations that I didn't suspect. cabbage vanilla and lemon sage. Thank you, chief. I'll probably come back to eat.
I had the pleasure of attending cooking classes with the chief. I don't regret and I'm already thinking about coming back. You feel passion when you explain your guide. I really enjoyed my birthday dinner at Deux Neuf Deux. Despite there being only one menu per night, the chef easily accommodated our dietary restrictions and proposed a different main dish. Overall, the food was delicious and creative and the ambiance was great!
