Di Lisio's Italian ant

When we learned that DiLisio 's doesn 't take reservation, we came in on the early (530) side for dinner on a Saturday night. We were fortunate to snag a table in the outdoor breezeway next to the restaurant DiLisio 's offers classic, and more importantly, well-made Italian food. My wife and I both had appetizers (which were quite substantial). My Carpaccio was good, although the beef was more thickly sliced than I am accustomed to, which required a good sawing with the table knife to cut through. for what the restaurant tries to be a mildly elevated Italian restorer, I don't think it really lives. I got the risotto, which should be every mild uplifted and better restaurant in the location, and was very dissapointed. it should come with lumps of crab meat, which mysteriously lacked, garnel and mushrooms. the mushrooms were obviously skillful and the risotto was suppe and it lacked a strong taste of parmesan. the second photo, was the veggie huhn and besides an overwhelming pfeffer taste, it was quite bad. the only good court was the lobster ravioli my sister had randomly received. overall the personal was friendly enough, but between the extremely tight and loud sitting area, high pri...

My family and I went to Di Lisio’s with pretty high expectations. We had heard great things and all the photos online looked delicious. Overall, the experience was good and the servers were on top of it. However, we ordered an appetizer of calamari as the reviews and pictures online looked amazing. The calamari we received looked nothing like the pictures and instead it looked and tasted like something you would get out of the freezer section of a grocery store (90% sure it was). For a nice Italian restaurant, we would have expected them to either serve fresh calamari or none at all. my whole family visited this restaurant. authentic Italian menu, filled with seafood, homemade pastas, veal osso bucco, delicious wines and beautiful desserts and gelatos. it was incredibly busy, but we sat immediately and the service was amazing. shawn helped our table with drinks, specials and all our asking and kept everyone happy until the food arrived.? We were visiting from PA. We walked to Di Lisio's because it was near our hotel. The food was exceptional. The shrimp and veggie pasta was delicious. The chicken parm was extremely flavorful and authentic. The service was quick. The atmosphere was sophisticated yet also comfortable. The coffee was also delicious and very authenically Italian, as I can attest from previously having lived in Italy and France for 13 years.

20 years ago I visited italia. that was exquisite. Today I felt like back. the taste of every dish brought me back to my time in italy. everything was perfect. from the appetizer, at our meal times (the miso trio and vitello napolitano,) to our desserts- absolute perfection. our server, tessa, was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great service. the whole experience was the first class!

This place was delicious. I was traveling alone and looking for some different places to try near down town. I got the chicken Picatta. I love capers and this dish was served with a healthy amount. Service was fast friendly and atmosphere was great. If I am ever in town again, it will most definitely be on my list of stops.

Eating is really good and authentic Italian. the service was good, but the kitchen was really slow to get our escapes out. appetizers and salads came fast. our server was responsive and helpful. I gave it 5 stars because of the food, but I would not recommend to come here if they have somewhere, they need to later. Reserva una mesa ahora

Fabulous little Italian place in the quaint Brookstown area of Winston. Stuffed Veal chop with gnocchi and chicken parm were fabulous. Saturday night was busy but everything was fresh and timely. We’ll be back soon. So many things to try on the menu. Wine/beer/dessert all A+
