"Spacious museum. The artwork is on the eclectic side so be sure to read the artist bios on the walls in every display. Some beautiful outdoor areas, a basement and attic area as well."

I recommend it for adults but don’t bring a young child here. We brought our 3 year old and realized our mistake very quickly. Many of the exhibits are very delicate and/or dangerous and are very appealing for a little one. Barbed wire exhibits attract little hands and delicate cardboard structures are begging to be climbed on. We ended up strapping her into the stroller for a while and leaving earlier than we intended. I’ll be sure to get a babysitter or wait until she’s older until we come back again to enjoy the collection

We are members and spent many wonderful weekend days visiting all year round. The location is beautiful and the permanent collection always intervenes. During the pandemic the museum was quite cautious and due to the size the social distancing was easy. Sometimes the staff is discouraged and aggressive with the visitors. There is a beautiful café and a wonderful bookshop. It's one of my favorite places I often return to. Plan ahead because it is sometimes busy. Every season Dia is a magical place for art lovers.

It’s always a pleasure to visit Dia:Beacon. To get there, it’s completely walkable from the MetroNorth station (7 10 min walk). Expect to spend at least two hours but plan for longer. The building is just as beautiful as the installations large industrial space with amazing light from big windows. It’s a great place to sketch and reflect. It’s a serene place that allows you to spatially experience the work on display.

This museum is truly incredible—one of the best I've visited in New York. Focused on contemporary art, it features a diverse range of exhibits that we really enjoyed. The size of the museum is impressive, yet it remains very inviting. I recommend purchasing tickets in advance for the smoothest entry! I’m already looking forward to my next visit! The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The exhibits were arranged beautifully, with delightful surprises at every turn. I would love to see more large exhibits like the ones here. We arrived around 1 PM on a Saturday, and it didn't feel crowded at all, likely thanks to the layout and the staggered entry system.

A fantastic place for art lovers! This is truly one of the best installation art museums in the world. As someone who has studied art and has a passion for installation art, I absolutely love it! It always inspires my children and I'm thrilled to be able to introduce them to such diverse forms of art!

I love visiting this museum! Unique and interesting exhibitions at a beautiful space with lots of natural light. You can go over the museum in a couple of hours and have time to enjoy the outdoor garden.
