I order delivery and asked for general tso chicken with pork fried rice the lady ask me if I wanted the diner special or the a large order I said a large order obv still speaking about the same dish with the same RICE they bring my food they don’t have the right rice they give me white rice okay no problem I call back and they place me with the manager and according to his “playback” I did not say I wanted pork fried rice but then told me the lady ask for pork fried rice with general tso chicken for the dinner combo and the large order did not bring pork fried rice that I was supposed to tell her I wanted pork fried rice when she made the order large when is pretty obv I did not even mention...
Ordered deliver via DoorDash. The food was delivered in a timely manner. We ordered the wonton soup, general Tso chicken and boneless spare ribs. The sauce used on the General Tso chicken is very good. However, after biting in I noticed the chicken had a foul smell. This tells me they do not do a very good job cleaning the chicken please start washing your meat with vinegar and lime. If you don’t do you due diligence to properly prepare your food you will get customers sick. I wasted my money because I am not eating meat that smells foul that is a recipe for a bad stomach ache. This food is going j to the trash.
Ordered delivery through DoorDash, it’s was late due to the restaurant which i didn’t mind so much but the food was without a doubt the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. I ordered the general tso chicken and chicken with broccoli the sauce for both are just terrible… bad to the point my husband and I (who even if it’s bad we’ll still eat it) we didn’t even eat half of it, just threw it out along with our money. Definitely would NOT recommend even if they are the only Chinese place open and you’re thinking “how bad could it be”…it really can be that bad.
First time ordering from diamond. Wanted chinese and most places are closed in Sundays. Dumplings were very tasty and not overly doughy like some other places, they had a nice wrapper and meat was flavorful, also liked the dipping sauce most other places it is overly sweet. Fried Waltons were nice and crispy as if they just changed the oil, not greasey at all. Boneless ribs were tender only complaint was they could have used a little more sauce. Szechuan chicken was nice snd flavorful and shrimp lomein was good and not oily. Will definitely order again

Favorite Chinese food in Perth Amboy if you know what to order. Taking the time to leave this review because it was the first time there was ever miscommunication while ordering and they were kind enough to fix it. Chicken has been hit or miss lately and used to be one of my favorites but* all of the other dishes are just as good as always!
I recently placed an order for delivery, and when it arrived, my egg roll was spoiled and had a terrible odor. I called to inform the restaurant about the issue, but they hung up on me! This experience was unacceptable and very disrespectful. I am thoroughly disappointed.
I've always loved eating at Diamond. Its a takeout spot. I've had them sporadically over the past 10 years and its just as good as it always was if not better. I favor fried rice ? ?
The chicken has a strong fishy flavor, as if it was fried in the same oil as the fish. While I enjoy fish, this combination could be overwhelming for some.

Delicious food! I absolutely love the General Tso's chicken and the sweet and sour dish.
