I noticed that the restaurant is staffed entirely by African American employees who are not only kind and efficient but also seem to enjoy working together. Yet, when I looked at the walls, every single picture was from the 1960s featuring only white families enjoying the subs at home. This is where the issue lies. It feels incredibly disrespectful to the hardworking black employees to be surrounded by images that exclusively showcase white families as the epitome of the American dream. While I was initially inclined to leave, the warmth of the employees encouraged me to stay. As a white person, I felt uncomfortable and compelled to speak up. It’s time for a change. No real complaints about the food, nothing out of this world for a veggie sandwich, but I recommend this place. Friendly people, (remember they are people not robots) with good attitude and service. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had! If it weren't for GrubHub, everything would have been perfect. I highly recommend DiBella's!
