The food took 50 minutes to arrive even though there were no other dinners at the time. The cheese and bacon burger one burger was burnt the other was pink inside, the kids mash was not real mash it tasted powdery and had black bits in it which looked like it had been scrapped off the floor- the k8ds never ate anyof it, the carrot sticks were not carrot sticks they were dried out carrots cut in quarters still had half the skin on, the chips were hard. The play area was just dumped in what was an old seating area with the seats still along the back wall. It was never like this a few years back but we will not go back again, very dissapointed.
We have just been to dick turpin again and was greeted by a friendly young man who was very welcoming,we had booked but was early and we ordered the carvery,the bar staff was also lovely and friendly,we had the carvery which was lovely the only thing was as it was later and carvery was closing down the veg was a bit dry but we expected that as it was nearly closing,but it was still very tasty and we will be back earlier next time.
Arrived at the Turpin and parked in the very large carpark. Greeted at the door and shown to our table. The same excellent service as we have come to expect. Food was really good, very succulent turkey, as if I didn't have enough over Christmas. Due to the standards being so good, this is the only carvery we use. They also have a nice selection of Greene King beers.
