The rest of our order, in addition to the brisket, was equally disappointing. The food was not warm, and there was hardly anything for the price we paid for family-style dining. The manager refused to correct anything besides providing that one dry slice of brisket, which he considered a fix for the chopped brisket I didn’t order.
We also experienced missing sides, and what we did receive was cold and lacked flavor. My family is from Texas and used to love Dickey's, but this experience was a letdown. If you want subpar BBQ that doesn’t match your order and leave your family unsatisfied, then visit the Dickey's in Fair Oaks.

I had a fantastic experience at this small BBQ joint in Fairfax. The food was tasty, and the staff was incredible and extremely helpful. I ordered the rib plate, and as a competitive pitmaster myself, I can confidently say they were cooked perfectly—tender, juicy, and expertly smoked and seasoned. Their sauce was superb, and the coleslaw was one of the best I’ve ever had. The standout of the meal was the Texas-style jalapeño ranch dressing; it was exceptional. Well done, Dickey's! I will definitely be back while I'm in the area for work!
Noticed it by happenstance on my way home and made a mental note to try it. The young people who waited on me were mannerable and very likable. I decided to give a 20% tip although I didn't eat in. Having said that the quality of the food wasn't great...at all. And, unfortunately, the kids got my order wrong or at least part of my order. I wasn't going to drive back to have it corrected and decided it probably wouldn't have been good anyway. Wish I could leave a better rating and review because the customer, but I can't. Sorry.

We had our first visit to Dickey's Barbecue Pit, and the staff went above and beyond to help us with the menu. They offered fantastic suggestions for side dishes as well. The food was prepared quickly and was absolutely delicious; I couldn't have asked for more. It's rare to find such excellent service and tasty meals at mall locations. Thank you for making our evening wonderful!
I truly adore this place! Whatever I pick from the menu, I'm consistently satisfied with my meal. The welcoming service and enjoyable conversations are what draw me back time and again. And how could I miss mentioning the sweet tea—it's served by the gallon!
It’s my favorite spot! The atmosphere and the food truly embody good old-fashioned living! The brisket baked potato and onion tanglers are absolutely delicious! And don’t forget to get a big golden cup of Coke Zero!
It really satisfied my cravings. It was just right to make me eager to return and explore more of the menu. I tried the sausage and brisket, and they were sweet, savory, and had just the right amount of heat!

The staff are incredibly nice and friendly. The brisket and pulled pork were tasty. While the spinach was reminiscent of a dip, the jalapeño beans were delicious.
It love this place but corporate has gotten rid of quite a few fan favorites. PLEASE bring back the waffle fries and collard greens ...
