I ordered delivery through DoorDash and, while my receipt was accurate, I was missing several items from my order. I’ve already resolved this issue with DoorDash, and the problem wasn't with the delivery driver. I ordered two meat plates that included chicken breast and sliced brisket, but I only received cold, chopped-up brisket. I also didn’t get the two drinks I ordered. The brisket was dry and lacked flavor, and the same went for the okra. Considering the price, the portions were small and the food was just mediocre. They advertise as Texas barbecue, but having just moved here from Texas, I expected much better. I recommend heading down to 28th and checking out Sandman's instead!
Two weeks ago we ate Dickys BBQ from the location in Traverse City, MI and we loved it. Amazing food, large quantities, fresh and crispy fries, overall a great meal. Tonight we went to Dickys BBQ in Jenison and it was like a totally different restaurant. Tiny portions, soggy fries, and had to be reheated. (We live 3 mins away and we 're waiting there for it to finish cooking so it 'd be fresh and hot). While there, we had to wait for the mac and cheese to finish cooking as i saw them scrape it out if a plastic bag directly into the serving dish.They also forgot our sauces. Overall we were not impressed by this location.
I used to really love this place. It was a bit pricey, but the portions were generous. Now, they hardly give you a handful of sides. They used to fill the bag, but now it barely amounts to a quarter of what it used to be. I ordered the mac stack, and there was hardly any macaroni in it! The meat portions are still about the same, but sometimes the meat looks shriveled and old. Plus, the fact that they got rid of waffle fries is just disappointing. Those, along with the pork and onion tanglers that were served with sauce, were amazing, but now they're gone! I'm very disappointed!
Be prepared to pay a little more for lunch yet the food is fabulous. I have scaled down to one meat selection because there is plenty. My favorite is the 1/2 rack of ribs or brisket chopped up or turkey and choose any sides.... The sauces are great too, warm and ready. You can't go wrong unless you show up not hungry. The pic is my leftover take back to work desert. Lol. Highly Recommended.

Don't use the app to order! If there is any kind of line in the restaurant. they will ignore the app orders. If you want their food, it is faster to just walk in and order. Placed an order at 6:00PM for 6:30 pickup. Left at 7:15 with no food, got sick of waiting and excuses.
They unfortunately out of several menu items. I didn't receive the correct order and the store was pretty dirty. The food I did get was pretty good. Except the Mac n Cheese is really bland. Probably be a while till we think about visiting

The food wasn't good. I had turkey, brisket, creamed spinach, and mac. My son ordered two meats and double fries. The cornbread has no flavor. The best thing was the fries. Will not return.

The food is good, but I ordered a three-meat plate and requested extra brisket for two of my meats, which they didn’t fulfill. Overall, the portions are quite small for the price you pay.
