Craving for Maultasche being too far from Swabia? Lets go to (the) Die Maultasche at the corner between Karstadt Görtz near Neumarkt. Been there and they never let me down! We tried not only the Maultasche, the Jumbo but sexier Version of...Ravioli but also Curry Sausages with German Potato Salad (generally prepared with vinegar, rather than mayonnaise, and bacon bits and served warm) but also Spätzle (a type of egg noodle of soft texture). All was very nice. Ambient, Service and Price are GOOD.
A small restaurant serving good German dumplings with different fillings either combined with soup, potato salad or solo. The restaurant is quite small and located near the shopping streets of cologne. It is a good destination to have a break from shopping and enjoy some...nice beer and food. They also have a small fridge where they sell their dumplings, soup and sausages for take away and home cooking!

There's not a lot on the menu, which is good. It is a small and cosy place, not a full on restaurant. We had Maultasche, each costs Euro. Very nice, however portion size is too small, which makes it expensive for Euro....We were happy with the food, but a little disappointed on the price.
Meticulously made Maultaschen a large ravioli-like specialty from Southern Germany. Many varieties, great seating with people watching, quick and efficient service. Don´t mistake this for fast food you are digging into one of Germany´s oldest regional specialties.

I am not vegetarian, but really enjoyed the vegetarian pockets... Much nicer (in my opinion) than the meat ones but both are very good. I also enjoyed the meatloaf which was also unique. Nice spot for a quick lunch, with nice outdoor seating.
...the coffee is decent, service usually really good and prices are reasonable. Overall a solid good'.
