Joy doesn’t do much advertising—she only has a Facebook page—but her following has grown remarkably just through word of mouth. South African expats, in particular, are flocking here from all directions. She also takes phone orders and offers catering services.
If you're ever in the area or on your way to or from the Gold Coast, you absolutely have to drop in and check out her little tardis. Taste for yourself what all the buzz is about! Even if it's just to grab her card and get her number, I can assure you, it’s well worth the visit.
It is a hidden treasure! I have lived in the area for 20+ years and only discovered it two weeks ago! The service was outstanding it was like meeting a long lost friend and the food 10/10! I ordered the beef Biriyani and Joy surprised me with the lamb as she was very attentive to my comments about my husband liking the Lamb when I ordered. The food was straight out of the oven, she carried it to my car for me as it was hot. Good old fashioned service! I highly recommend a visit to dine with Joy!

The most incredible pie I've ever tasted! I've eaten a lot of pies since I've worked in several bakeries. My friend also had an amazing experience with her gluten-free pie. I would happily drive 45 minutes just to have another.

Always such a warm atmosphere to walk into. Coffee is everything you want coffee to be and the food is amazing. Best gluten free range I've seen, so much to choose from and soo tasty and fresh.
If you are looking for a real Durban bunny chow this is where you'll find it,make sure you are hungry because it's a big portion and so delicious you have to eat it all
