I've ordered from District Taco several times, both for pickup and through DoorDash, and I can't justify getting delivery from there anymore. Maybe things are different when you're dining in person, where you can see your food being prepared and address any missing items, but my remote orders almost always have something left out. In my most recent order of nachos, almost all the toppings were missing — cilantro, grilled veggies, extra queso, lettuce, sour cream, and pico de gallo were all absent. For $25-30 on DoorDash, the portion was disappointingly small, and I still ended up having to make another dinner at home because it wasn't enough for a meal. THE ABSOLUTE WORST. For $6 a taco, you would expect them to provide warmed corn tortillas and a proper plate. Instead, the tacos were mostly filled with lettuce, and they wrapped three of them in paper before cramming them into an aluminum foil wrap. The tacos ended up sticking to the paper, making them soggy and awful. When I asked for a plate, the rude person at the counter just told me to use the paper bag and even laughed at me! This was by far the worst taco I’ve EVER had, combined with terrible service and poor value.
I visited this restaurant on a school trip, and everything was wonderfully organized. The food was served quickly and tasted fantastic. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the place was clean and well-maintained. The staff was incredibly efficient. I also appreciated the self-serve option and the stylish soda machine, which is becoming rare in many places. Overall, a great experience!
BLUF: Good food, avg price for DC, quick and easy with good size portions. Good locationFood was alright, I got the chorizo and steak bowl the steak was a little tough but had a good smoke flavor to it. Queso and chips were good. I was a taco on Taco Tuesday Halloween and they didn’t want to give me a free taco. They told me sorry we don’t have any promotions like that which I respect but I was kind of hurt still. I would give 5 stars but they wasted the perfect opportunity to give someone a free taco. The fish tacos with chipotle mayo and pico de gallo are always ?
Clean. Service was mainly no contact and fast. I got three tacos and chips and salsa carne asada, chicken, and fish. Loved the fish, wasn't a fan of the carne asada seasoning, and the chicken was okay. Chips were fresh but I wasn't a fan of the salsa flavor. I would go back for the fish Taco.
The food was incredibly disappointing. The chips that came with the Chips and Queso had a cardboard-like taste, and the burrito bowl had a flavor reminiscent of soap. It was completely inedible and a total waste of money.
The tacos were extremely dry and lacked freshness. There was no pico de gallo on the side or on the tacos themselves. Overall, it was a disappointing experience—definitely the worst taco I've ever had.
