This restaurant is terrible, avoid at all costs. When we arrived, we were greeted with a long queue. However, it turned out that the queue was only for tea, coffee, and cake, with only one person serving. The line for hot lunches was empty, and we had to wait for someone to serve us. Unfortunately, they had run out of gravy for my sausage and mash, and refused to make more. The food was a sloppy mess, as shown in the attached photo, and cost us over £10. The drinks in the fridge were warm, and there were no glasses available. We had to use plastic knives for our meal, and found lipstick on one of the glasses. Had to queue three times. First for hot food which was served quickly, but then we had to stand with our tray of hot food, which was going cold, and join the back of the queue for coffee. As there was a number of people in front of us it took a good few minutes to get served. Then we had to queue again to pay. Consequently, we sat down and our food was cold. To add to the poor level of service, my friend ordered a side order of baked mushrooms with her meal. The side orders are £1.50, she was given a single, medium sized mushroom it was quite funny but also ridiculous that it was classed as a side order of mushrooms. Won’t be going back.
We took my elderly mum here for lunch today what a shambles! Stood waiting for someone to arrive to serve hot food along with a number of other people. Finally got our meals and went to get drinks only 1 mug and 1 large cup left and coffee machine not working as drawer was full. Finally got a member of staff to sort it and got our drinks. Went to the tills where there was nobody serving then someone arrived but only on the other till and made no attempt to tell us that the till we were at was unmanned. By the time we sat down the food was cool and unappetising. Wasn’t even cheap. We definitely won’t be going again!
Will never be returning to buy the scones again full of bicarbonate.and not fresh in fact could not eat them we always go once a week and have a pot of tea and scones but the last 2weeks they have not been fresh and crumble like biscuits plus they up the price and really not the quality that they have been

I ordered hot drinks and two paninis at this restaurant – one with tuna and the other with ham and cheese. Both paninis came with a mixed salad and were surprisingly delicious. The prices were relatively good value. However, the ordering system was a bit confusing.
Scruffy. Toilets absolutely stink, door furniture cobbled together and screwed up notice in frame sets the scene. Non matching cup n saucer, only manufactured gluten free cakes. Little choice in the shop. Aquaria scruffy with one poor fish lacking a tail.
just called in for a hot chocolate and a coffee these are the best drinks we have had so far in this dobies excellent service even thought they seemed to be a bit short staffed
Great garden centre, visited here with my husband and young son, very well maintained lots of great items to buy pleasant environment lots of places to park would recommend

This restaurant is not suitable for families with children who want to have a good time. The food is awful, and I hope it closes down soon.
Dobbies garden Centre, has a good selection of plants and has a pleasant restaurant. The Garden Club is well worth joining.
