personalized reception rather pleasant at reception. restaurant room with no interest for a castle: very large, little intimacy, improbable decoration for an establishment of this style (especially blue frescoes,.) no flowers on the tables. service nice but no class: glasses of the aperitif not removed at the arrival of the first dish, obligation to ask for bread in the middle of the meal, spoons drops at the next table...Feed: a great disappointment. Amuses mouths obviously not made at the last moment. the dishes: despite a certain effort of dressage and a creative display, the result is not up to the promises of the card. too much fruit with the fish, the sweet salty mixture is too disprop...
Whilst the chateau itself is beautiful, the overall experience was very disappointing. This hotel is overpriced and overrated. We had a superior room which can only be described as tired (see photographs.) There was a stale urine smell in the toilet, probably due to no working extractor fan. There was also an unpleasant, musty smell in the downstairs hallway leading to the lift. Breakfast was an experience. The room was not set for the number of guests, the only waitress was unable to cope with the volume of people, resulting in tables not being cleared and guests arriving having nowhere to sit.It is a shame, that this beautiful chateau, has to some extent lost is authenticity. A pleasant surprise located about 10 kilometers outside Tours, this Chateau is a hidden gem in the heart of the Loire Valley. From the quaint rooms (with real key entries) to the placid grounds, it is a pastoral retreat near a large French city. The surprise here was the high quality restaurant on premises, where we had a delicious four course dinner for reasonable price. We slept with the windows open and the frogs in the pond across the road lulled us to sleep. Staff are all fluent in English and do appear to have a good Anglo clientele. We would definitely return.
I chose this place to celebrate a birthday, we spent a very pleasant time, the waiters are at your little care and the dishes are succulent, refined cuisine and a beautiful wine map. we enjoyed one of the saumur champigny of the map. a very good address to remember and return to the beautiful season to enjoy the splendid setting.

I was coming to the restaurant for the third time. the chef's presentation is precise, the colors harmoniously of season, always an exceptional flavor of each of the elements of the plate! count 150 for two people including a bottle of wine. the price to remember in a very pleasant setting!
we have taken a menu at 39 euros ,all is included , a glass of water wine that we would have liked fresh , a good entry , good tone by the ambient heat , a very original cod with grapefruit and apple , a very fine rice , a good dessert , a coffee , a delicious .bref the happiness
