Ein asiatisches Restaurant mit Pfiff in der Provinz - das ist nicht alltäglich. Und ja - es gehört zu keiner Kette sondern ist ein kleiner chinesischer Familienbetrieb, der sich über viele Jahre hochgearbeitet hat.Die Karte ist - wie bei Asiaten üblich - sehr reichhaltig. Neben Suppen, Salaten und z.T. rafinierten Vorspeisen offerieren sie 9 verschiedene Kategorien (Huhn, Ente, Schwein, Rind, Lamm, Fisch, Shrimps, Vegi, Chef's Choice) mit je ca. 10 verschiedene Geschmacks- und Beilagen-Variationen an. Und die sind das "Erfolgs-Geheimnis" des Don Fon: hier können Sie auch Gerüche und Geschmacksvarianten erleben, die nicht zu den ewig gleichen Saucen gehören, die wir von der chinesischen Küche...
We tried this new neighbourhood restaurant on the of January. Unlike other restaurants, it was open. Considering it was a special day, my input might not be of value, but the ambiance was peaceful, the background music discreet and the place inspired calmness, promising...for a relaxed evening. We had summer rolls, duck with mango sauce and chicken with veg. The dishes were very well presented, and tasted as good as they looked. By the way, be conscious of the degree of spiciness mentioned on the menu or ask before ordering. The waiter was a bit hesitant (and shy), maybe it's cultural : this didn't affect the overall experience which was truly positive. It's a surprising choice of location (...
