Don Quixote's Mexican Grill

We love Don Quixote's! We're probably eating here an average of twice a month. I've tried a lot on their menu but find myself reverting back to crunchy tacos with carnitas. The meat is nicely done, very moist and flavorful, and their hard shells are house made. My wife goes for the fish tacos or the shrimp burrito. You can't go wrong with their breakfast either. I notice most people get breakfast burritos but we like to share the breakfast tacos. I recommend the get chorizo egg with potato and either pinto or refried beans. We haven't been here for years and won't be back. We picked up the order for 5 of us. They left my wife's enchiladas (for whom we were accused) and did not know until we came home. My shrimp Burrito had a total of three shrimps. The Burritos weren't even marked. I had to tear the tops off the other Burritos to find the shrimp Burrito because we have 2 family members with shrimp allergies. The food is good 3 stars. Kinda sad other reviewers give this place 5 stars. Not even close. I regret to leave such a negative review, but facts are facts and the experience was super lame.

Super Ultra nice staff, an unparalleled attention to detail, I saw a lady loading a catering tray one time up In there and it was HANDS DOWN the most attention I've seen paid to a little detail in a restaurant in YEARS. I wish you could have seen it, it was amazing, each taco was straightened with TLC and placed magnificently into the tray... you know what! I'm going there RIGHT NOW! just remembering that... yeah 5* all the way.

Very friendly and welcoming place! Portions are well sized, and the food is definitely not gourmet but it sure hits the spot when Mexican food is on the mind. The owner is often working as well and she is very friendly and has a great memory for usuals. Highly recommend you check it out for those in between fast food, but not an expensive sit down.

Great food, but not last night. I ordered takeout. Food was cold and tacos too. My food sat and sat before given to me. Customer service terrible as well. Stale chips. Next time, I'll eat it there, so I can complain in person. Usually good but not last night.
