We always used to enjoy Chinese meals from here but then we had a few bad ones and switched loyalty. Tried it again last week and it was okay. I don’t think it’s as tasty as our regular but the phone was none stop and our food was okay. I wouldn’t travel miles to buy from here but you can do much worse if you’re passing by. The lady who does the front of house is lovely as well. If carlsberg did Chinese food it would probably be better than the Double Dragon. It doesn’t so this is ok,
Collected our food, drove home to Pontefract The curry sauce was like cement. The noodles were dry as a bone. The salt pepper chicken was that dry it was actually grey in colour. We spent £30 on the food I rang to tell them we were unhappy and the lady came out with “what do you want me to do I am busy now” so I told her that an apology would be nice. Cannot believe how rude she was. I wouldn’t give the food to an animal.
I recently tried the mixed grill from this restaurant and it was delicious. I only had to wait 10 minutes before receiving my order, and when I got home to eat it, the food was still hot and flavorful. There was a generous amount of meat included, and the onion rings I ordered were also very tasty.
If you decide to visit this restaurant, please note that they only accept cash. This may help prevent it from being terrible, but I have my doubts. While there is plenty of food for the price, most of it was not enjoyable. I will not be returning and would not recommend it to anyone.
