My new go-to Chinese place in the Sacramento area! Easily the best. Went in for lunch today and had an unexpected feast. We ordered the lunch special (available on a Saturday! for the Szechuan chicken (asked for less spice , and tried the pot stickers and General Tso chicken. The portions of everything were bigger than expected. Definitely couldn't eat all of it if I tried, expect to bring leftovers home. The lunch special came with hot and sour soup, fried rice, and noodles, all of which were as good as it gets. They nailed the less spicy part of the Szechuan chicken. The General Tso wasn't too much sauced and tasted great over steam rice. The pot stickers were crispy on the bottom and fill...
Excellent. This restaurant is exceptional. The food is great, especially if you prefer vegetarian dishes. The products are always fresh, the service is usually above average. When I first went with my wife, the waiter stood at the opening in the kitchen, waiting for us to slow down every course before I brought the next steaming hot course. The sauces and aromas are unique, but remember the traditional taste you expect. They serve water with lemon in it, and this is representative of the detail and service you can expect. A word of warning, rush hour is exactly what it means. Do not expect a ten-minute service when the dining room is full.
Today was my first visit, and I think I made a great discovery. When I arrived, I was greeted by friendly attentive staff. After reading past reviews and skimming the menu I ordered the Orange Chicken with a page of white rice. $10 from the door I took home and was shocked to see how much food I was given. There was enough orange chicken to feed two adults and two children. The quality was fantastic. CRISPY and delicious. I get three meals from this order, which is a great value for the dollar. I will definitely try other dishes again.
I'm always on the hunt for great Chinese food and Szechuan garden definitely makes it right. A few words of caution tho, this place ruins most other local Chinese dinning experiences that you will have in the future, because their food / service is far better than anyone I had Stateside outside of China city in SF. The lunch special is wisely not worth and as I said before the service and the ambience is on site. Wonderful experience. A delicious mouthwater dunning experience every time I go with failure! This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants and one of the few who still like general chickens like me. It is regrettable that so many other restaurants have solidified to bread chicken and order only sauce. no such mistakes can be found with this place! every item made hot and fresh! Great affordable prices and perfect for the whole family, I will always return as a loyal happy customer.
