Dragonboat Dimsum House

Not sure what all to say. Stopped by for lunch and then for supper with friends a few days later. The food was generally good and the decor was nice as well. The service was pleasant but there was something about it that I can't quite put my finger on. I think it was that in both instances we were an even number of guests but I had to ask to get the odd number of portions cut in half to make it easier for us to share. They seemed almost reluctant to do so and only cut some and not others. In other places they generally volunteer to do so. I thought they would be more forthcoming with descriptions of the various dishes as the other couple that accompanied us were relative beginners at dim sum. One the plus side they were helpful once prompted and didn't bock at bringing some items that were not on the menu. I will definitely try them again.

We took our family including 3 grandchildren out for dinner. We do not usually do dim sum in the evening but it was a fun and quite delicious experience. They have the big round tables with the lazy susan in the middle which helped with 7 people vying for different dishes. We tried many dishes as we are quite familiar with dim sum and wanted to check the quality out. All in all we were all happily satisfied. They have an extensive menu and since we tried so many dishes I was surprised that they had most everything available. We loved the water fried dumplings and would have them again. I love the rice crepes with barbecued pork or the shrimp and these were up to snuff.It is another alternative to the other dimsum places in town and while it is not outstanding it is worth a visit and we will try it again.

Up until recently the very best place to go for dim sum in Saskatchewan was Yip Hong in Saskatoon. Fortunately, now there is a great place in Regina, it may not be as soon, but it's a damn fine second best! The food here is very delicious when you order from the trolley, be sure to do so! As well there are great desserts, great tea selection, the service is quick and friendly. Even if you don't arrive during the dim sum trolley experience you can order from the menu.

I saw this while working and made a point to return for supper...this place is visually nice to look at and the menu is amazing....i had curry squid...and used up all my chinese donut sopping up the sauce! This is the first dimsum i have found in Regina and i think it will be the last i look for!!!

Visited for the first time and it was really busy. Service was good and we were seated quickly. Great location and great Dimsum.
