We used to love this restaurant in this beautiful setting but oh my goodness what on earth has happened to it? Starter was boring and tasteless (tortilla), pudding was okay but oh my goodness the main was absolutely terrible. We were taken as guests so I didn 't feel I could send it back but, as we were leaving, I discovered that everyone had felt the same! A bowl of packet couscous, no flavour whatsoever and two merguez, one of which was absolutely cremated and had very obviously been cooked at least once before. One of the party had a cheeseburger , I 'm not even going to describe that because there was NOTHING good about it including the way it was presented which would have been funny had it not been trying to look remotely edible. Will absolutely not be going back any time soon.
We went for lunch arriving at 1230. Finally ordered our meal at 1300. Starters arrived with meals for the kids. By 1415 we were still waiting for main course. When it did arrive we received 3 of 4 meals over a period of 15 minutes. They did not arrive at the same time. Finally gave up on the 4th meal and cancelled it. The children never received their desserts and the dessert for the main meal didn't arrive either. Complained to the waiter who spoke to the manager, who didn't even come and speak to us. Offered our drinks as free. The manager finally spoke to us when we approached her. Very bad service. Totally disorganized. One of our party left having eaten nothing. Will not Ge going again and will not be recommending to anyone.
We used this fabulous venue regularly when living close by, 10 years ago. On a recent holiday trip we were pleased to find it hadn 't changed. Our serveuse spoke good english, though my french was at a similar level, and we enjoyed a fabulous 3 course lunch at a very resonable cost. They say 'if you want good food, eat where the cars outside are all French '! So true!
