Du Vignoble au Verre

In our experience, restaurants in France often trade on the accepted wisdom that French cuisine is the world's best, therefore no need to try too hard... This restaurant is definitely a shining exception. Friendly service, and not slow despite Eric working the room on his own. I had rumsteck sauce poivre which was absolutely perfectly cooked (my wife had rumsteck nature which she also enjoyed), with delicious vegetables. This was followed by the salade de trois fromages - an object lesson in how to keep and present cheese; my wife had apple and rhubarb crumble with ice cream, also top-drawer. With a couple of drinks the bill came to €53 - even with the horrible exchange rate, brilliant value for money.

Entrée sèche et brûlée (tourte épinards saumon). Heureusement pas facturée. Service déplorable on vous sert après les clients arrivés plus tard. Vins à choisir sur l'ardoise, conseils sommaires et prix différents pour un même vin d'une ardoise à l'autre. Le client a tord et se prend une remarque s'il fait des signes pour dire qu'il attend depuis longtemps sans aucune attention du serveur. Du poisson avec des petits pois et carottes. On fait mieux chez soi. Rien d'exceptionnel sur le plan gustatif. A déconseiller.

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel owner.The food was amazing, we could not find fault about anything.The wine menu is vast, ranging from 17 euros a bottle upwards, so lots of choice. If you don't want a bottle of wine, the owner will recommend a glass of wine for each course, all very reasonably priced. The owner of the restaurant is very friendly, speaks very good English and is happy to talk about his roots and family restaurants. A really nice guy. We had a lovely evening in this restaurant

Pour les amateurs de vin associé à un bon plat français je vous conseille vivement cette adresse ,un personnel très qualifié accueillant , il vous propose une grande gamme de vin associé alors cuisine traditionnelle . Une adresse que je conseillerais aux amateurs de bonne cuisine française suivi d'un verre de vin.

Repas très bon avec des prix raisonnables. Le patron très aimable et conviviale apportant son expérience pour nous aider à choisir au mieux le vin correspondant au mieux à notre plat mais aussi à notre goût
