Walked into the bar after taking exterior photos, is it just me who does this? Upon entry i was greeted by Sean the friendly barman and landlord, the local drinkers and their dogs, yes!! A dog friendly pub! You cant beat a dog friendly bar! Unfortunately today the chef is off sick so no food. A pizza is however offered from the local takeaway. There are three ale pumps with a local brewer supplying the goods. They are great brews! All by the same company this week, this is a free house by the way. Decor is fine and toilets are clean and tidy smelling fresh and clean (mens). This is a camra pub and do give the camra discount should you flash your badge

Warm welcome from the bar tender, starters arrived quickly and piping hot, mains were a hearty meal. Lovely fresh home cooked food. Just what was needed to set it apart from the microwave pub brigade. Already looking forward for our next visit. Worth a visit and I think great value.
