This is one of the best dumpling restaurants I've ever been to. I'm half Asian and adore good dumplings and sharp, punchy Asian flavours. A lot of local restaurants unfortunately seem to sweeten up or water down their Asian food, but not Dumpling Studio. We had sweet'n'sour crispy skin chicken which was wonderfully tangy without being overly sweet, cold poached chicken with cucumbers in broth with a very aromatic and flavoursome ginger and shallot sauce THEN an amazingly good chilli lemongrass ice cream. Service was prompt and helpful, the restaurant was modern and clean and the food reasonably priced. I cannot wait to go back over the coming weeks, and start the enjoyable job of trying ever...
The setting is very nice and modern. Went there at lunch time on Friday, and it wasn't busy at at all (I think it's because this place is new). My family enjoyed the meals very much, we ordered around 6 dishes between the three of us. Everything was tasty and the produce was good quality (I don't think they use MSG here). The only thing I could fault was the noodles in my beef noodle soup, which wasn't cooked enough. But the broth itself was tasty, and it had big tender chunks of beef. They also have a complimentary 'Homemade chili sauce' to eat with your meal, sitting on every table which is really nice. finished off the meal by trying their lemongrass & chili ice cream and their ginger ice...
I loved every thing I ate here, from the chicken noodle soup to the dumplings to the home made ice-cream. All flavours were fresh and intense in every dish and the trio of ice-cream probably best of all. My new favourite Asian eatery in Cairns.
The food was fantastic, I can confirm that the dumplings are handmade. The staff were very friendly and provided great service. We visited from Brisbane and wish they had a “Dumpling Studio” down there! We will definitely be back next time.

delicious dumplings, roast duck and swallow. fantastic pork steamed rolls. the boxing of chickens with sweeter and acidic sauce is so good. all made in house apparently. has to go back to try the lunch card that is only Friday to Sunday.
Whilst in Cairns, the Dumpling Studio was just across the road from my accomodation so it was super convenient. Friendly service and nice dumplings. The homeMade lemon iced tea was particularly refreshing on a humid afternoon
Everything is expensive here when just down the road there is the same stuff for half the price and better quality don't bother with the special you will be disappointed!
This is the best dumpling experience I've ever had. I highly recommend this place to everyone. The food is delicious and the customer service is excellent.

Disgusting!! Would never recommend anyone going. The chicken taco shell tasted like it had been sitting out for days and went bad. Horrible.
Over priced. Not as good as I would have thought of a real dumpling shop. It's something that I will try once and never come back again.
