On December 10, 2022, I ordered caramel ice cream with a pump of liquid sugar, but received plain ice cream instead—no sugar at all. This was especially frustrating during the hectic Christmas shopping season when the place was busy with customers ordering coffee, and things were quite chaotic. It felt unfair and like a waste of money. Given the location of this Dunkin' Donuts at the New Jersey Garden Mall, I recommend that corporate send a secret shopper to evaluate the problems at this site. Unfortunately, I’ve decided not to return here again, as it seems nothing has improved; similar complaints have been made for the past three years. I usually prefer to give positive reviews to support businesses, but unfortunately, this location did not meet my expectations. The person ahead of me asked for a refund because his drink was terrible, which should have served as a warning. When I placed my order, they got it wrong, and although they fixed it, my meal was completely inedible by the time I got to my car. I ordered a plain bagel with butter, but it was stale, over-toasted, and I couldn't even take a bite. My coffee was decent, but they had to remake it because it wasn’t what I ordered. My daughter's drink was also very disappointing. It's unfortunate that I found a Dunkin' I really didn’t enjoy.
I don’t like giving bad reviews because my thing is uplifting businesses, but this location is just flat out not good. The person in front of me returned and asked for a refund because his drink was terrible so that should’ve warned me. They got my order wrong and although they corrected it, when I finally got to my car to eat my food, it was inedible. I ordered a plain bagel with butter as usual and it was stale, over toasted, and I could not bite into it. Like at all. My coffee was okay but they had to redo it as it was not what I had ordered. My daughters drink was so bad too. Sad that I found a Dunkin I didn’t like at all.
Dunkin' has removed the vanilla chai from their menu, then replaced it with vanilla spice, which is now also gone. The only drink options left were coffee, hot chocolate, or regular tea. They mentioned this location is getting a new menu, which is happening to other nearby Dunkin' stores as well. It was a bit disappointing since I enjoyed the vanilla chai and vanilla spice, but neither was available. On the bright side, the sandwich and the bagel with cream cheese were still good. I still visited Dunkin', but I couldn't get the drink I wanted due to the limited menu options.

To start, I'm curious as to why we're being taxed by both the state and the city specifically at this location. I didn't notice this issue at any other establishments I visited throughout the day. The food and drinks were satisfactory, but the tables really need to be cleaned more often, especially since there were three staff members present, one of whom was on their phone. Our table had a hardened glob of something stuck to it.
The mobile orders at this place are never ready on time. If you place an order, you could end up waiting for 20 minutes, and it often seems like no one is overseeing the orders. It's really frustrating; nobody wants to wait that long for a Dunkin’ at the shopping center.
I like the Dunkin' on Passaic Ave. in West Caldwell. The sausage is always fresh, and the service is good. I haven’t found any other Dunkin’ quite like this one. Thank you. Food: 2/5.
The employees were friendly, but I’m not quite sure what the hype around Dunkin' is all about. Maybe it’s more of an East Coast thing? Food: 3/5
