This is by far the worst restaurant I've ever visited. The long-haired guy appears to be the most disrespectful person, whether as a worker or boss, treating the employees in a way I've never witnessed before. The food is merely average, but the level of service and respect in this place is absolutely unacceptable. If you have kids or anyone underage planning to visit, beware—there's a lot of cursing and shouting. It’s clear that someone needs to contact the health department or labor department to thoroughly inspect this establishment. I will never spend any money here again or recommend it to anyone I know.
So I stumbled upon a John's Pizza honey bee slice at work the other day and gave it a try. It was probably one of the best slices of pizza I've had in a long time. The contrast of flavors from salty pepperoni to sweet and spicy honey and then ricotta to level it all out was incredible. Ordered a whole pie that weekend. Ive had a creamy spicy sausage and pasta platter from here as well in the past that never disappoints either.
The food was amazing! I had the Penne Alla Vodka with grilled chicken-amazing; we also ordered a Pepperoni Pizza, also amazing! The Buffalo Pizza, also amazing.The staff was friendly, fast, and very apologetic that we had to wait a little longer than we expected, due to the sudden influx of customers from EPD and the EFD.Loved walking into a restaurant that has a history and recipes that, obviously, came from generations ago!
I received the wrong order for my coworker, and when we called back, the manager was quite rude and started yelling, insisting that she had read the order back. However, all of my coworkers heard that no one did. Instead of offering a refund, she told us to come and pick up the correct order ourselves. To make matters worse, the food wasn’t even that good.

When in Elizabeth conducting training for my company, I order daily for the group from John's Cafe. The staff is efficient and patient when taking orders for delivery. The variety on the menu offers something for every person's tastes. The food is always fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this business.
Food is absolute crack!!! Great both on delivery and pick up! Never once had an issue of any kind! Some of my favorites are cheesesteak pie, Buffalo chicken pie, bee sting pie, meat lovers, garlic knots, garlic wings, buffalo wings, Sicilian pie, all of the burgers, zeppolis!
We love John's cafe, we order a pie at least once a week. Its the best, trulely Italian pizzeria in Elizabeth. Sometimes we just get their pizza dough, always fresh and delicious. Try it out! You can thank me later.
I have been ordering John’s since I can remember having a job. Their salads are the best, although it takes a while for the food to be delivered it’s worth the wait. Surely a staple in the community.

If you want old-school Italian, this is hands down the Best in Elizabeth NJ, family business. Passed down from dad to son. Vegetarian options: Ask host very friendly customer service
The service was professional and courteous, the prices were reasonable, and the food was healthy.
