Choosing the right Dunkin' Donuts on Staten Island can be quite a challenge, with so many locations and drive-thrus to choose from. I have a few favorites, and the one by the Arden Shell gas station is definitely at the top of my list. The staff there is always friendly and efficient. One downside is that the store is quite small, which often leads to long lines extending out the door. However, I suppose that’s a good sign, especially in light of the COVID pandemic. They consistently get my order right and often throw in some free munchkins as a nice bonus. I always leave a tip for their great service. I do recall that one of the employees making sandwiches was a young guy who seemed a bit slow and confused. While the coffee was ready quickly, the sandwiches took a while to prepare, making it feel like they were coming from another Dunkin’ location. The young white guy at the register held up the process, but thankfully, there was a Far East American employee who really kept things running smoothly. He maintained a great sense of humor and demonstrated a solid understanding of everything in the store. I didn’t spend much time there, mainly focused on getting my sandwiches as I was pressed for time, but I could see that the staff was genuinely trying their best.
However, there was one young guy making sandwiches who seemed a bit slow and confused. The coffee was ready right away, but the sandwiches felt like they came from a different Dunkin'. The young cashier was a bit of a bottleneck in the process. On the other hand, there was a hardworking Asian employee who was keeping everything flowing smoothly. He maintained his sense of humor and was knowledgeable about everything in the store! I didn't spend too much time there; I was just in a hurry for my sandwiches. But I could tell the staff was making an effort.
The tattooed white man scanned my coupon but then refused to serve me, despite the coupon going through. He insisted that I pay again, and I just don’t understand why a major company would employ someone like this to interact with customers. They really tarnish Dunkin's reputation. It’s disheartening to witness such behavior, and honestly, I wouldn't hire someone like him to handle customer relations—he's clearly not cut out for the job. Reserva una mesa ahora
This is my go-to spot for a quick coffee during my night shifts as a nurse. I really enjoy the pumpkin spice options! However, I wouldn't recommend bringing children here, as it could get quite expensive. It's definitely a nice place to treat yourself when you need a break from the kids.
