Dutrion Giles - Reservar una mesa

We stayed at the Domaine de Tortiniere in nearby Veigne. Disappointed by a 60euro breakfast for a family of 4 the day before, we strolled into Montbazon looking for an alternative. We stumbled on Dutrion Giles in the main square of this cute little town and we're thrilled to have found this Boulangerie. The family agreed this was our favorite pastry shop in our week long tour of France (we made a point of visiting some of the most acclaimed patisseries in Paris). My son, a self declared expert on Chausson aux Pommes, declared this version the best he has had. The brioche was excellent and we had to turn around and make a trip back for a second serving of their chocolate bread (which my wife said was the best thing she had eaten on the entire trip). For the 60 euro we spent at Tortiniere we could have bought one of everything here. I'd highly recommend this to anyone staying there as a breakfast alternative and would even suggest making a detour for this authentic, delicious patisserie.

We were staying at Chateau d'Artigny and woke up to late to enjoy the breakfast, so we decided to go down to Montbazon for some coffee and food. In the center of Montbazon we found this hiden gem. The have standard espress, but the pasteries were amazing. I specially liked the cholocalte bread. We did not try the desserts, but they looked delicios. It is small place, so they do not have any place to sit down.

Patisserie made a perfect finish of the day after visiting Montbazon castle. Desserts looked nice and tasted very good. The small downside was limited coffee choice they only had basic Nespresso machine.

If your cakes were as good as your pastries and your bread you would be at 5/5 but the little ovens are very disappointing and I can't guarantee a taste of cakes! However, your pastries are a marvel
