This deli has been one of my go-to spots for a great lunch for over a decade, ever since I first discovered it during my time at the College of Charleston. My most recent visit to this beloved haunt was just as enjoyable as I remembered. The downtown location looked exactly the same, and the Raging Cajun Turkey sandwich was just as delicious as I recalled. I always swap the house chips for their wonderfully seasoned crinkle fries and order an extra side of the spicy Cajun sauce. We ordered a Greek salad with chicken, a Charleston Philly, a soda, and an oatmeal cookie, which totaled $36—a bit pricey, especially since I expected the Philly to be larger. Just walking by and the smell grabbed my nose, caressed my stomach and made my brain turn my feet towards the door! As soon as I opened The door, the freshest smells of fresh food washed over me, I couldn't wait to sit down. I suddenly wished for 4 stomachs. The Chicken Charleston was melt in my mouth amazing and their tea is spot on! The portions are more than your paying for, so you leave full, happy and the service is smiling, friendly tip worthy. Our party of six ALL enjoyed our food!!!Very friendly staff, amazing food great atmosphere. Would highly recommend! We might have to make a return visit to try something different.We didn’t try any but they had huge cookies amazing looking desserts. Parking: We had a hard time with finding parking almost decided to just find somewhere else to eat. Glad we were patient waiting for a parking spot because it was worth the wait.
This was great! I would definitely recommend it, especially if you’re a fan of chicken nuggets like I am. They were warm and had a simple flavor, but a little more honey mustard would have been nice.
They lost my order after 45 minutes, finally said they said we're waiting on fries, but fries were cold also, not very busy 2 pm in afternoon, someone dropped the ball, just don't lie about it

Uninspired sandwiches. Good location near International African American Museum. Service and interiors were OK.
Very close to the aquarium and fort visitors center. Easy walk even in the heat. Delicious and quick.
