You know how, sometimes, you have an expectation of a place, and sometimes, the actual event somehow falls short.... Well, not this time. I finally got down to the Eastern Eye again, and once again, they delivered. After 15 years of the Antipodean alternative, my Madras and Kingfisher knocked my socks off. A superbly balanced and perfectly cooked curry with mushroom pilau, naans, and chapatis, complete with attentive and efficient service from intelligent and pleasant waiters in a fantastic surround what's not to like! beautiful staff here, very attentive, but not pushy, eating was very good, her nan brot is really special, amazingly light and fluffy, vegatable rice tasty, took older parents here last night, 4 people overall and we all enjoyed the well cooked meal. the decor is basic, but give 5 stars for food quality and beautiful service. I am coming back
I am absolutely blown away by this Indian restaurant. It's the best I've had in years. The food was top-notch and the staff were exceptional. I highly recommend it. The service, dining experience, and atmosphere all receive a perfect score of 5. I recommend trying the Tandoori dishes.
