"Went in for dinner tonight celebrating my daughter's birthday. Food was very salty, had to ask for bread, water glasses was filled at the beginning only. Nothing seems special about this restaurant."

I first visited Eddie’s on Mother’s Day and had a fantastic experience with great food and an excellent server, which led me to return for an anniversary dinner with my boyfriend. Unfortunately, this visit was quite disappointing. Our server, Larry, was wonderful throughout the evening. However, several issues marred our dining experience. Early in the meal, a fly flew into my espresso martini. I asked one of the runners to replace it, but he never returned. Fortunately, Larry stepped in and resolved the issue. When our food arrived, my boyfriend received his prime ribeye, but I was mistakenly served a NY strip instead of the ribeye I ordered. Larry quickly corrected the error and apologized for the kitchen’s mistake. Additionally, the mashed potatoes were overly salty, almost inedible. Larry, doing his best to manage the situation, suggested I speak with the manager. Initially, I declined, but he insisted, and I eventually agreed. This is where things took a turn for the worse. The manager, Mark, attempted to be humorous but came off as condescending. He claimed the steak I received was indeed a ribeye, suggesting I should have tried a piece (which I had). He insisted their butcher cuts the ribeye in a unique way, which was unconvincing to anyone familiar with steak cuts. Mark mentioned their “no arguing with the customer” policy but did so in a manner that felt patronizing. To make amends, he offered desserts on the house, yet my boyfriend received the wrong one. While eating, Mark approached us and remarked, “Best desserts ever, huh?” The crème brûlée was dense and lacked the proper consistency, but by that point, I was too disheartened to complain further. Overall, Mark’s attitude made me feel as if I were being dismissed as uninformed. I would have been content to pay for our meals if they had been prepared correctly. This experience was unacceptable, and I left feeling belittled and frustrated.

I had first became aware of the restaurant through my daughter, who was going to treat me for a belated birthday. I by mistake arrived the wrong date I had appetizer shrimp cocktail and salad. It was fine . I paid and left when I realized I had the wrong date. I returned the next evening expecting to meet my child there ,but as I arrived the hostess advised me the reservation was canceled and I checked my phone that 10 minutes before was advised the same. My heart was in my gut. These wonderful people offered for me to stay and they will treat me for my birthday ?. I hesitated but I accepted. I was treated like royalty and even though I had no family to share this delicious meal with,it was the most delightful experience. I have new friends at Eddie Merots they made a heart breaking situation one I will never forget. I highly recommend this establishment and look forward to returning sometime soon.

Our first experience at Eddie Merlot’s was our last. While our server was solicitous and prompt, we received our main course within 7 minutes of being delivered our appetizers (we were in mid-bite when delivered). One of us ordered the filet Del Mar entree which was described as including filet mignon, shrimp, and crab. There was no crab on the plate and the filet was dry and clearly over cooked. The lemon-Dijon chicken was exceedingly dry and highly lemon forward, and the accompanying mashed potatoes were overly salty. For the prices we paid, we expected a fine dining experience and instead felt rushed and disappointed.

Zach was great! Friendly, funny and a great conversationalist. He made excellent wine recommendations and upsold the dessert! The hostess was a pure delight and very friendly. The manager on duty was engaging and friendly while attempting to finish inventory and wrap up the evening. The salmon was woefully over cooked but the rest of the meal was delicious. We will definitely be back and explore more menu items.
