We stopped here for a quick breakfast on a weekday.Restaurant had few patrons but it was 9:30 am. Took a while to seat us??Servers were more interested in cleaning up than serving us.We eventually got coffee and ordered bacon eggs and toast and Eggs Benedict.The bacon and eggs were OK but average at best but the Eggs Benedict were served like there was no more hollandaise sauce left as the sauce was exactly on the eggs and muffins and there was not a single drop on the plate! I asked for more and got a half full ramekin that hardly made a dent. I asked for more and again got a half full ramekin!This place is known for some fruit coming on every plate, well unripe honeydew slice on an orange...
I had two Groupon's for this place. My husband and I went last week and it was amazing. Hot and fresh with 3 eggs on the eggs benny and fresh sauce. It came with melon and orange. Today it came with two overcooked eggs ( we asked for runny) and sauce that had been there all morning. It was thick and tasteless. We got a small piece of melon only and only one coffee refill It took awhile to get the cheque as well and other orders were placed beside us before she brought the. I'll I won't be back if this is how the restaurant performs. The cook must have known by the look of the sauce that it had expired. Ugh
I went with 3 boys after a hockey practice.After we sat, and I checked TA, the reviews made me think it would be awful.When we couldn't get crayons and they refused to do hard boiled eggs, I was ready for the worst.The card on the table said $5 for juice - not a good sign!But we had a good breakfast!Crayons did arrive!Kids breakfast was $4 and was quite good - eggs, bacon, home fries, toast.Juice was only $2.50 not $5.My breakfast - Eggsmart Poutine - homefries, hollendaise and 3 eggs was tasty if a bit pricey at $12 with no toast.All in all - a 3!Not great but not horrible!
I drove past on Saturday morning and saw a $5.99 breakfast special sign. It showed it was available Monday to Sunday. When I went in Eggsmart I didnt see it shown inside or on the menu. I asked my waitress about it. She said it was over, 2 weeks ago! I wonder if they leave it there because they are hoping people come in for the special and then will stay and pay full price? Amazing eggs Benny! I had the smoked salmon Benny and it was truly mouthwatering. My girlfriend got the regular bacon and eggs it was really good as well. The freshly squeezed orange juice made my day. You can see the workers using the big juicer from your seat it's really cool. Great service and decent prices. I will be returning to an eggsmart in the near future!
Nice location in Whitby, ON ... thought a bit pricey other than early bird special and kids meals; however, extensive menu options. Nice reasonably priced kids breakfast and lunch. They also have a very nice 'early bird breakfast special' (Fri 7am - 10am) under 6 bucks (eggs, bacon or sausage, Texas toast and home fries.
Went to the Eggsmart on Taunton and Thickson after a bad experience previously and was delightedly surprised by the difference...a new management change and skilled servers sure makes a difference...they really seem to care...I would recommend this breakfast place to all my friends and family
