What an underrated gem of a restaurant. From the outside, this place looks tiny, but don't let that fool you. The inside is good sized. The menu is pretty standard Mexican fare. I've had the chicken quesadilla and chicken nachos. They were both excellent. The frozen margaritas are the bomb. They have excellent weekly specials. Went there on a Monday and got a percentage off my bill. The staff are friendly and very hard working. They were constantly running around and making sure guests were taken care of even though we went during a slower Monday lunch time.

I visited this restaurant last Friday and spent around $65. The food was generally okay, but my pastor tacos were very tough and hard to chew. We needed four to-go boxes and two sauce cups, but had to wait about 15 minutes for another waitress who never returned. Eventually, my daughter had to go find her for us. We had one person take our order and bring us chips, but no one returned to check on our food or refill our drinks. Unfortunately, the lack of service was very disappointing and we didn't even receive a bag for our to-go boxes and sauce cups.

Best Mexican in O?Fallon! Staff is always friendly. Food is always hot, spicy if wanted, and well-seasoned. Margaritas are strong! We have tried half the menu at this point and not a bad dish yet! Had the veggie quesadilla, Pollo Azteca, and Fajita nachos today. Also, Fridays have cheaper $9-ish) Blue Curacoa and El Presidente margaritas. Best margaritas ever!

el azteca always has great food and friendly service. if they are looking amazing mexican food I highly recommend it. the tables they sit on are spread when they eat inside. when they eat in a restaurant is not their thing just yet they have fast service! they have something for everyone!

The food was delicious and served hot at our table. My daughter and I were pleased with the service. However, the restaurant was not very busy and the atmosphere suffered as a result of only having 6-8 people dining. Despite this, we had a good overall experience.

we have been loyal customers of el azteca for almost 12 years. manuel and his employees have a great menu, fantastic service and welcoming atmosphere...biger worth for family or adult excursions!

It was ok.meat was dry and not served hot. The tortillas were overcooked or overwhelmed up because they where kinda chewy but that was the flower tortillas the corn tortillas were cooked well.

The staff is very friendly and friendly. My food always comes fast, fresh and hot. Spacious portions and great prices. Definitely better than the other Mexican restaurants in the general area.

eating was great, but the margarita was the best I had for a long time. in any case, every Wednesday will get ready for the Margarita specials.
