The food here is genuinely authentic! El Favorito has become our go-to place for Mexican cuisine. We first tried it on a Sunday and were delighted to find menudo served with handmade tortillas. I suspect the handmade tortillas are a weekend special since they weren't available during the week. On our second visit, we ordered takeout, and everything was still hot and flavorful when we enjoyed it at home. The birria was outstanding! I was on my way back from Sacramento and decided to stop at this Mexican restaurant after seeing its great reviews. As soon as I walked in, I noticed a woman making fresh tortillas, which was a promising sign! I ordered their popular Quesabirria, and it was absolutely delicious! I paired it with rice and beans, and the flavors were fantastic—everything tasted incredibly fresh. The chips were surprisingly different from the usual ones you find elsewhere; I’m not quite sure what made them special, but I really enjoyed them! I’ll definitely be back soon.
I called in and ordered a California burrito, and it was ready in just five minutes. It’s absolutely delicious! As someone from Los Angeles, I’ve struggled to find good Mexican food here in Sacramento, but this place has hit the mark! The burrito isn’t heavy or greasy, and it has the perfect balance of ingredients. This is definitely my new favorite spot in Sacramento. Thank you so much!
A standout feature is the self-serve nacho and salsa bar, where you can fill your bowls as much as you want—definitely a five-star highlight! Great food, I love the burritos. I been eating there for 17 years. It's the best Mexican food in Sacramento area. I know this because the Mexican's are the main customers. They know Great food.
This is the best Mexican restaurant in Rancho Cordova! I've sampled many of their dishes, and the customer service is excellent.
They have a delicious food yummy good service family they got tables inside you can sit and eat and I got an outside sitting
The dining area was impeccably clean, and the service was exceptional. The carne asada fries were absolutely delicious!
