El Galapago Campestre

This is a nice restaurant in Chia with a very cozy but rather small indoor area and a very large outdoor area with picnic style tables. You don't have to worry about the weather much though since the tables are all covered and some have...space heaters near them for when the temperature drops in the evening. The service is good but not extraordinary but is not the reason why this places is popular for, the waiter just came to our table when called and even to order a second round of drinks we had to wait for a while, and the place was not even half full. The food is the star here and at first sight of the menu you find a great selection of dishes commonplace in a steakhouse, and you might think that the dishes are overpriced, but beware, the portions are huge and not only the main courses, the starters as well, you can easily feed two adults with one dish. However the size is not the only reason to try this restaurant, the food is very well prepared and really tasty. So if you go with a group of friends and share a couple of dishes it is a good option for an afternoon out of town.

The last time I went was a year ago and this is one food place I legit miss in Bogota (well, Chia) in a city not really known for great food. The burgers are HUGE, you do not need anything else on the side, and...the prices are fair (and I hope they stay that way). If you go at or pm you do not need to eat breakfest and will not need to have dinner later, except for maybe a small snack. It is that filling and quality of the meat it good too.

We all drove from Bogota to visit this restaurant. We had heard so much about this place and we were not let down. The steak was amazing. Probably the best steak i have ever eaten. Cooked to perfection. All the food was amazing but steak...is by far their stand out dish. Staff were also friendly and very helpful

Fair enough I find this place as the most delicious in Chia, despite its long queue and their long time to serve your plate the customer service is great and the main dishes are huge and super cheap, top quality and worth totally the visit

After parking, waiting for a table and ordering my party of was told only cash. Not happy. Many other places to eat.
