El Jimador - Reservar una mesa

El Jimador has the most extensive menu for true authentic Mexican food in town. They offer a lot of coastal varieties from my favorite city of Puerto Vallarta in Jalisco. The staff are always so friendly and inviting. The decor is on another level compared to most places in the area. The woodwork on the booths took skill. The live edge bar is beautiful and even the bathroom floors are painted as a mural and are always clean. It’s one of my favorite places in town. Definitely visit and the prices are reasonable. You can get a lunch for $6 or choose to spend upwards of $28 for a special such as the pulpo (octopus)! It’s a family environment for all budgets. Great place! Wonderful people!

El Jimador is one of my preferred Mexican places right now. The food is typically really good. This plate was good. However, the lunch chimichanga is very small. Approximately 3-4 inches long. You can't even see it under the lettuce. I expected a smaller portion but maybe not quite this small. Service is sometimes better than others. Our server on this visit barely spoke.
