I really enjoy this venue; it’s always a fun experience. Just a heads up, it can get quite warm inside. The bartenders are fantastic. My main complaint, however, is about the guy who operates the sound booth. He is incredibly rude and aggressive toward attendees at the shows. I’ve seen him slam the barricade forward, hitting people in the back, and he’s even pushed people off the ledge at the back of the building. Personally, he used his phone to repeatedly poke my shoulder to get me to move. Everyone else is great, but he is definitely the worst, and from what I've gathered, everyone else I've talked to feels the same way.
This venue has been a staple in the Columbia area for many years, and for good reason. I've been attending events here for a long time, and I truly appreciate the dedication that keeps this place thriving. After not visiting for a while, I recently attended two shows and was pleased to see the upgrades that have been made. I really enjoyed the music with the new sound system. Keep up the excellent work, NBT!
New Brookland is probably my favorite place on earth besides my own bed. I've been coming here since I was in high school, and it's always been THE spot to see bands. As far as venues go, The Senate is fine, but they don't hold a candle to this place. If a band you love is coming to Columbia, pray to your deity of choice that they're coming to NBT.
NBT does what it does very well, and it hasn't changed much through many years. A fun place to hear live music in an intimate setting. Lots of friendly locals--tatted or bearded or both . Nice selection of beers on tap. You can sit at the bar if you need to, but mostly this is about standing and stomping.

TKO offers the best vegan BBQ hot dog I've ever had. The pulled "pork" is made from jackfruit, which I'm not usually a fan of, but the way they prepare it is simply amazing!
Saw Daikaiju attack there twice! Awesome spot, cool helpful bar staff and perfect place to rock out, I'm going to see Daikaiju there again next month.
Great independent venue that embraces the punk, hardcore, and metal scene. Keep doing what you do! It’s appreciated by all who love independent music
The ambiance for the show was wonderfully intimate. It's a shame that it's closing down; I'll definitely miss it!

I attended Sad Girls Night and had a fantastic experience! The service was excellent, and the music was amazing!
Had a really good time and I hear that Artist get 100% of merch sales.
