I never leave negative reviews, but wow is this place bad. the personal is uninterested, lazy and flat pulled out. a child squirts the aisles up and down while I wait for someone to talk to us. the waiter goes in the middle of my mother and asks. the same waiter sits behind us at the table and gavebing with his friends about how he doesn't care about his job. from all this, my father saw a living cockroache that walked under the wall/bath. overall we didn't even wait to get our food because we were out. if icould, the place should be with such employees from business. absolutely a clown show, I have no idea how this has the evaluation that it does. must be paid bots/paid. go to the applebee’...

We discovered this restaurant in February 2019 and loved the food. Then, of course, the pandemic. It was several months before we were brave enough to order the takeover that we then did frequently over the years. Last night we dived for the first time in two years. The quality of food, service and drinks remains high. We ordered the Sanford Burrito and a Quesedilla with bbq pork and vegetables and were as delicious as ever. The best Mexican food.

This was my second time visiting this restaurant and I really enjoyed it. I had the Hongos Portabella Ensalada and the churros, both of which were fantastic. It wasn't too crowded even though they were rather busy, the atmosphere was wonderful. Service was prompt and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience overall. Highly recommend.

This Mexican restaurant in Sanford, Maine is a solid choice for a meal out. It's family-owned and offers great service. The food quality is decent overall, with some standout options and others that fall short. The rice and beans were a bit plain, but the salsa, queso fundito, and margaritas were delicious. hands down me and my partners favorite restaurant. i thought i’ve had good mexican food until i tried this place!! we’ve been here multiple times and order takeout a fair share from here as well, and our orders have always been correct and tasted like heaven. good job and thank you for being my favorite stop!

I wasn't expecting much from El Mexicano since it's located in a strip mall, but I was pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious, the service was excellent and friendly, and I left with a satisfied belly full of tasty dishes.

We frequently visit this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised to discover delicious Mexican food in Sanford, Maine! I tried the Burrito Chipotle yesterday and it was fantastic. They even have Negra Modelo on tap! Reserva una mesa ahora

Customer service was great, but the food was fine. Taco Salat had a fired shell and the sizzling fajita came in parts that were longer than the next. I just made my meal before my partner could even start her.
